My Favorite Sustainable Influencers – Who You Should Be Following

Hey earth muffins! Regardless if you are new to sustainability or have been immersed in the eco world for years now, eco influencers are great people to follow. Not only can you learn a lot from them, but they will inspire you to continue on your journey towards low waste. Compared to other influencers on YouTube and TikTok, I think sustainable influencers are the people you should be supporting… Because they are actually saving the planet! While I am constantly finding new people to follow, this list is of my current favorite influencers. Let’s jump right in!

Meghan Hughes – YouTuber

I first started watching Meghan years ago when she (and her sister Lindsey) were beauty YouTubers. Since then, she has changed into the perfect earth muffin! 😍 She has a main channel where she posts informational content on sustainable living but also a vlog channel where she shares her life on the farm. I love that her vlogs are often longer than 30 minutes, as I can play them when I am working or doing chores around the house. Meghan is relatable, funny, and extremely passionate about the environment. I’ve always enjoyed seeing how other people live in a sustainable manner; she is definitely a person who inspire me to continue this eco journey. 😊 Her mom (@zerowastezen on Instagram) is also a good person to follow too!

ME – Life of an Earth Muffin Blogger

I think it goes without saying that you should be following me on all of my platforms. 😉 I post informational content on this blog twice a week. If you are interested in seeing more about my personal life or what I am up to, I suggest you follow my Instagram where I post at least three times a week! Don’t forget to also check out my Pinterest, as I’ve been pinning a lot more stuff since I spend more time at home. If you aren’t already subscribed, I also have a monthly newsletter.

Stevie – Instagram Queen

Stevie (or @stevieyaaaay on Insta) is an eco activist that shares some amazing content. She is also the founder of Yay for Earth, which creates my absolute favorite face lotion! She shares a lot of great tips about living a green life; I love her Instagram stories too! Her content is raw and real, sharing the ups and downs of living a low waste life. I also love that she created an amazing eco company herself – what a boss! And it makes sense that her products are great because she is so passionate about the environment. Would definitely give her a follow if you haven’t already!

Jessie/Tiny Yellow Bungalow – Pinterest

I found Jessie through her blog/eco shop, Tiny Yellow Bungalow. I personally think that out of all her platforms, her Pinterest page is the best. I’m always on the hunt for sustainable influencers who not only create content but share content of others. Jessie’s boards on Pinterest are amazing! They cover everything from vegan recipes to zero waste baby tips. Such a great resource for an eco-friendly newbie. It is no wonder she has over 15,000 followers on Pinterest… Go get some inspiration from her! 😍

Gittemary – Zero Waste Superstar

Gittemary is a zero waster from Denmark, and she has built quite a platform for herself! She has a YouTube channel, a blog, an e-book, social media accounts – the list goes on. I think her content is great because everything she shares is focused on sharing the zero waste lifestyle with her audience. It is inspiring to also see how sustainable Scandinavian countries are… I often feel like America is lagging far behind the eco goals of other places. Following foreign sustainable influencers like Gittemary gives me a fresh perspective on why I am being low waste! 😊

Elena Taber – YouTuber

I saved Elena for last because she is not fully in the environmental space, but I still enjoy the videos she makes about sustainability. She lives in New York, so it is cool to see her vlogs about life in a big city. Even though she is more of a lifestyle YouTuber, I give her credit for trying to share a sustainable message with her followers. It is important to use your platform to change the planet, so it is exciting to see her growth on YouTube! 😊 Who are your favorite influencers at the moments?
