bookmark_border6 Reasons To Consider a Secondhand Engagement Ring!

Hey earth muffins! If you haven’t heard the news from Instagram already, I am engaged! I am so beyond happy to see what the future holds for me and my high school sweetheart. The ring we choose was secondhand – and I strongly recommend you consider a secondhand engagement ring as well! Buying a pre-loved ring not only contributes to a more sustainable and ethical approach to jewelry but also offers a range of unique benefits. Keep reading for the top reasons why you should consider buying this special ring secondhand!

1. It is a more sustainable choice

Firstly, opting for a secondhand engagement ring is a more eco-friendly choice than buying a new ring. The jewelry industry is known for its environmental impact like poor mining practices, excessive energy consumption, and waste generation. By choosing a pre-owned ring, you divert a piece of jewelry from the cycle of new production, reducing the associated environmental footprint.

Hey earth muffins! Along with summer road trips, an amusement park is a typical place to visit during the hotter months. While visiting a park is a thrilling (and enjoyable) experience for people of all ages, there are environmental impacts to consider. From energy consumption to waste generation, a trip to the amusement park has the potential to create a lot of excess waste. But, don’t worry! It is possible for you to have a greener and more eco-friendly amusement park adventure. Here are some tips to help you enjoy the rides while minimizing your environmental footprint:

Choose eco-friendly transportation to get there!

Consider using public transportation, carpooling, or biking to the amusement park if feasible. This helps reduce carbon emissions and traffic congestion. Plus, you won’t have to deal with parking your vehicle and paying for a parking fee. If driving is necessary, carpool with friends or family to minimize the number of vehicles on the road.

bookmark_borderHow to Use a Safety Razor for the Closest Shave!

Hey earth muffins! Shaving is a regular grooming activity for many individuals; but, the disposable plastic razors often used contribute to environmental waste. A much better alternative is the safety razor. With a durable, reusable design, these razors offer a sustainable and cost-effective way to achieve a close shave while minimizing waste. If you’re new to using a safety razor or looking for tips to enhance your experience, here are some helpful suggestions:

1. Pick a high quality razor and blades

Without a good razor and blades you won’t be able to get a nice shave. Safety razors come in different styles, designs, and handle lengths. In addition, you want to pick one made of a metal that will last you many years. I personally purchased this safety razor (affiliate link) back in 2018 – it is still in perfect condition! Also opt for higher quality blades (like these from Astra) as well.

What I Ordered

Sunbasket offers two options for meals. First, there are Fresh & Ready Meals. These are delivered ready to eat – just pop them in the fridge, and heat up for dinner! Most of these meals can be frozen for later if you can’t get around to eating them right away. The second option are Meal Kits. These come with everything you need to cook up a delicious meal. To try out both, I bought 2 Fresh & Ready Meals and 2 Meal Kits – one vegetarian for me and the other with meat for my boyfriend.

Hey earth muffins! When the weather gets warm, water balloon fights are a popular way to cool off and have fun in the sun. However, traditional water balloons are single-use items that generate a significant amount of plastic waste. In addition, it is super annoying to clean up all the plastic remnants they leave behind! Thankfully, there are eco-friendly alternatives that allow you to enjoy water play without the negative environmental impact. Here are some fantastic options for eco-friendly water balloons to try out this summer!

~Sponges

Instead of using water balloons, try sponges! They are awesome because they soak up a bunch of water and won’t pop on impact. A quick dip in some water means they are ready to go again! You can even cut up some sponges into strips and tie them together to make sponge bombs as well.
