Public Goods Lotion Review – A Great Way to Keep Skin Healthy this Spring

Hey earth muffins! As we transition out of winter and into a new season, it is super important to keep our skin healthy and happy… And that means keeping it hydrated! My skin tends to get extra dry whenever the seasons change. Last year I was gifted Public Good’s lotion and have been using it ever since. I posted a short review of it months ago on my Instagram, but I thought I would share a full review of it in today’s post. Let’s jump into my Public Goods lotion review!

What I Love About the Public Goods Lotion

First, this company has a strong value of sustainability. This is obviously a huge positive for me. There are plenty of companies out there that say they are “eco-friendly” and then have no green practices to back it up. Public Goods is not like that! This company only makes products that are good for you AND the planet. Their sustainability values also shine through when you get your package in the mail. My lotion was packed in the smallest box possible with only recyclable packaging. Plus, the lotion bottle itself can be refilled with Public Good’s refill pack.

As I mentioned above, this company doesn’t even make products that aren’t good for you and Mother Earth. This lotion is sulfate, paraben, fragrance, and cruelty free… And, it is vegan as well! I am not a huge fan of putting nasty chemicals into my body, so it’s always a positive when sustainable brands also ensure their products are clean too.

In terms of quality, this lotion also works extremely well! I have tried it on all parts of my body, and it does an excellent job of keeping my skin hydrated and soft. While I typically use Yay for Earth lotion to moisturize my face, I have even tried this lotion as a moisturizer as well. It hasn’t made me break out and works well on my face too! The lotion itself is the perfect consistency that doesn’t leave your skin greasy. I’ve used some lotions in the past that leave your skin almost slimy for awhile; I can assure you that this is not the case with the Public Goods lotion.

Other Things I Like

I am a huge fan of the smell of this lotion too. It is a subtle fresh scent with strong notes of eucalyptus and mint. There are a bunch of other essential oils too, which give slight hints of lavender and citrus. It gives me spa vibes for sure!

It wouldn’t be a Public Goods lotion review without talking about price… And you honestly can’t go wrong with this lotion. It is only $5.50 for a 12-ounce bottle, which is extremely reasonable. This is a similar price to non-sustainable alternatives, and there are so many other positives to using this product than a non-green one. I love when eco products are affordable!

What I Dislike About This Lotion

I have honestly had no real complaints about this lotion since I started using it last year. The only “negative” I could say about it is that the lotion bottle itself is made of plastic. I understand that plastics are cheaper and easier to ship, but it would be even more sustainable if Public Goods were to change the lotion bottles to glass or metal. This is a small con to this product, but I thought I would still mention it!

Final Thoughts

Overall, I absolutely love this product! I am not even close to using up the refill bag, but once I do I will definitely be repurchasing. 😍 I love that the company lives their sustainability values and has products that are free of so many bad things. Even the price is reasonable and affordable for an eco-friendly product! Have you tried any products from Public Goods?? Comment below and let me know you favorite lotion right now!

Love,
Jenna ♥
