Hey earth muffins! Prom season is right around the corner. It has been many (many) years since my proms, but I still love looking at all the fancy gowns. If you are interested in reducing your impact on the planet, try thrifting your prom dress this year! How to Thrift Your Prom Dress:

Tip #1 – Start early! Secondhand shopping is unique because there is a little bit of everything out year round. This can be helpful to keep an eye on prom dresses months before the big night. In addition, it is always better to start early with your shopping and give yourself plenty of time to find the perfect dress.

bookmark_borderIntroducing “Motivation” – Lush Liquid Eyeliner Review

Hey earth muffins! If you have been reading this blog for awhile, you will know that I am a huge fan of Lush’s shampoo bars. Once or twice a year I will place a large order on Lush to stock up on bars (and reduce my shipping impact). This time, I decided to try out some of their low waste makeup too! Back in high school I used to be much more experimental with makeup. I remember absolutely loving to wear blue eyeliner; why couldn’t I rock it now? So, I purchased Lush’s blue “Motivation” eyeliner… Keep reading for a full Lush liquid eyeliner review!

What I Love About this Product

First up, this is a great sustainable eyeliner alternative! The bottle is made of glass which can be recycled or reused once you use up the product. It also doesn’t come with a brush which is awesome because I already have my own. (You can of course buy a brush from Lush/drugstore if you don’t already have one) Lush also does a great job when shipping your products. The box is small and fits only what you ordered; in addition, it is packed full of corn packing peanuts that dissolve in water. Amazing!

Tofurky “Ham” Roast

Tofurky has a great meatless ham roast in a lot of grocery stores this time of year. It is small (about the size of a softball), but is perfect for families with both meat and plant-based eaters. Just pop this into the oven with the ham! This roast comes with an amber ale glaze to put on top, but you could always just eat it plain as well. Definitely a great inexpensive and minimal effort product.

Hey earth muffins! Easter is less than a week away! Hopefully all of your plans are in place so that you can enjoy the holiday. This week is full of Easter preparations… Which means lots of eggs are getting dyed! Did you know you can naturally dye your Easter eggs? Instead of buying a dye kit (full of plastics and neon shades of the rainbow), opt to dye your eggs at home! Natural dyes are better for you, better for the planet, and look much more rustic and –well– natural. Keep reading for two of the best ways to naturally dye Easter eggs!

Option 1: Dip dye the eggs
