bookmark_borderWinging It Waste Free: A Zerra & Co Eyeliner Review

Hey earth muffins! I am a huge fan of Zerra & Co’s eco-friendly makeup products. In the past, I’ve reviewed their zero waste mascara and eyeshadow… And it’s time for another review today! Along with these products, I’ve also been using the Zerra & Co eyeliner for the past few months. There is plenty to say about this low waste makeup, so keep reading for a full review!

What I Love About This Eyeliner

The first thing I adore about this eyeliner is the fact that it is truly sustainable. This company lives and breathes their sustainability values (which I fully support!). The eyeliner comes in a little glass jar with a metal top. They even give you an option to get it with a bamboo eyeliner brush or to avoid the brush and just use one you already have. After you use up the product, you can either reuse the jar (perhaps for another makeup product) or participate in Zerra’s container return program. Such a great zero waste brand!

bookmark_borderAnother Great Shampoo Bar: Soak and Float Lush Review!

Hey earth muffins! If you are looking for an eco-friendly swap in the bathroom, I recommend switching to a shampoo bar. Lush has a ton of great ones to try out… I’ve tried a bunch of them so far; today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the Soak and Float shampoo bar. Keep reading for everything I love (and dislike) about this sustainable product!

What I Love About This Shampoo Bar

The first pro of this shampoo bar is that it is a great sustainable alternative to typical shampoos. No plastic bottle, no packaging, and no watered down shampoo. It is always better to choose bar over bottles because they are a much more eco, zero waste swap. Lush does a great job with shipping (if you can’t pick up the bar in a local Lush store). The box it comes in is small and fits the product exactly. I love that this brand uses water soluble packing peanuts too!

Hey earth muffins! Last month I mentioned that Koala Eco was kind enough to send me a few of their products… When buying fruits and vegetables, it is a good idea to wash them regardless if you purchase them at the grocery store or the farmers market. Once I return from the store, I like to make a pile of my full reusable produce bags and wash mine at once. Koala Eco’s fruit wash is a great option for getting all those pesticides or dirt or whatever else off! Keep reading for all of my thoughts on this product.

What I Love About This Product

As I mentioned in my Koala Eco kitchen cleaner review, I love that this brand is truly eco-friendly. The company definitely bleeds sustainability through and through. The box it is shipped in is recyclable (and even has a cool built in bottle holder so that there is no need for bubble wrap or packing peanuts). The fruit wash itself is biodegradable and the bottles are made of 100% recycled plastic AND are recyclable after use. 🎉

No Tox Life vegan dish block solid dishwashing soap

What I Love About the No Tox Life Dish Block

First up, I (obviously) love that this is a sustainable dish bar. Instead of using dish soap in a plastic container, you can opt for this bar instead. Bars are much better than bottles for the planet; I absolutely love that this is an easy zero waste swap. The dish block comes in a recyclable box which makes it plastic-free as well!
