Like most of the products I review on this blog, this kitchen cleaner is truly sustainable. The brand bleeds sustainability through and through. The box it is shipped in is recyclable (and even has a cool built in bottle holder so that there is no need for bubble wrap or packing peanuts). The cleaner itself is biodegradable and the bottles are made of 100% recycled plastic AND are recyclable after use. Pretty awesome! 😊

I picked out this pearly pink loose mineral eyeshadow by Zerra & Co and have been absolutely loving it ever since. For today’s post, I will share what I love (and what could be improved) about this product. Let’s jump right into it!
The first thing I love about this eyeshadow is that it is zero waste. Zerra & Co has been on my radar for a long time, as they have a great collection of low waste makeup products. Their mascara is excellent, so I knew their sustainability values would translate to their eyeshadows as well. The product is fully eco-friendly and comes in a cute little glass jar with a bamboo lid. It is shipped in 100% compostable and recyclable shipping materials too, which makes it a great plastic-free option. Zerra also has a container return program if you can’t find a way to reuse your empty jar. 😊

I absolutely love that these reusable makeup rounds are truly sustainable. Just think about all the single-use pads you will save if you buy a set of these! On top of the reusability aspect of the product, they are made of bamboo. Bamboo is a great eco-friendly material… It is much better for the planet than cotton!

First off, I love that bamboo toilet paper is totally sustainable! It’s not a shock that pandas love bamboo – it is a great eco-friendly plant that grows extremely fast. Some even call it the fastest growing plant on the earth! Because it grows quickly, it doesn’t have a large negative effect on the planet when it is cut and turned into consumer goods. The alternative is to cut down trees which grow quite slow… Seek Bamboo’s toilet paper is 100% tree-free, which is awesome for the planet (and you!).

First off, this is a great way to get plant-based protein (20g per serving!) for those of us on plant based diets. Not only is this product vegan, it is also dairy, soy, AND gluten free. Perfect for everyone with dietary restrictions. The protein powder is also organic and full of good ingredients without all those nasty added sugars and gums.

Most of my sustainable makeup products were getting old, so I wanted to try out some new ones… Zerra & Co makes a zero waste mascara, so I knew I just had to give it a try and share my thoughts with you all. The first thing I love about this product is that it is sustainable and truly zero waste. The container is a glass vial with a metal lid, with the option to get a bamboo wand. So awesome that you can reuse the container and/or recycle it when the product is gone! Not only is the mascara in sustainable packaging, it was also shipped in reused cardboard boxes with fully recyclable packing materials.

While I typically use my local library, there are some books that it unfortunately does not have. I thought it would be fun to order some eco books off ThriftBooks, as they have been on my “to-read” list for awhile now. I haven’t used this secondhand book website since college and was excited to support it again. Let’s jump right into my Thrift Books haul!
This book was listed in “Acceptable” condition for a price of $5.09. I had added it to my “to-read” list after seeing it at a local gift store in my town. The text looks like it is handwritten, so I thought it would be a fun coffee table book after I read it. Such a fun read on nesting skills, and it mostly focused on things like DIY tinctures, salves, and gardening/composting. Would definitely recommend if you are into sustainable living!
